The Journey Thus Far ...
It began in the suburbs of Cincinnati in a small town called Milford. There I was raised and grew up with traditional Midwestern values of hard work and pride in what you do and what you earned. I had a job at 13 and haven’t stopped working yet. But I longed for more after I finished school; I wanted to travel and experience the world and to be a part of something greater then myself. I joined the U.S. Navy at 23 to serve my country and to better myself while doing so. The Navy provided me with great opportunities to accelerate my life in the right direction; I gained a licensed skill and technical ability in medical laboratory sciences and an associate degree in science as well. In the Navy I have been blessed to work with a very diverse and motivating workforce that is one of the greatest in the world. Yet again though I long for more, I want to apply my skills and knowledge to the civilian sector and continue to grow and experience many things on this wondrous journey.
